Queen of Tears Episode 7 Recap
After the revelations of the last episode, Hae-in finds herself obviously heartbroken at Hyun-woo’s decision to divorce her. Although she doesn’t want to believe it at first, his acceptance leaves her heartbroken beyond measure. Unfortunately, this leaves her without a will to keep fighting her diseases triggering Hyun-woo to take matters into her own hands and hatch a plan. He makes her hate him by using the divorce as an excuse so that the vitriol within her would make her fight for her own life, even if that means she will hate him forever.

However, this results in Hae-in taking an active interest in Hyun-woo’s life, if only to irk him, and it results in her realising that Hyun-woo doesn’t waste any time or money doing anything for himself and is almost always alone.
On the other hand, Eun-sung gets ready for the construction of the resort park and talks to Hae-in about it. Fortunately, Hyun-woo’s warnings stick with her and she asks him what he wants and he boldly tells her to divorce Hyun-woo and marry him instead. She is left disgusted by his antics. Later on, we also learn about Eun-sung’s relationship with his mother, Moh Seul-hee, and even though they have a strained relationship, their mutual need to get revenge on the Hong family comes as a shock to the viewers.
In the last scene, we see Hae-in deteriorating health which leaves both the viewers and Hyun-woo shocked and heartbroken as he realises that her illness is getting worse day by day, so much so that she doesn’t remember their time in Germany anymore.

In the next episode, Hae-in grows to know Hyun-woo deeper as he follows his routine around every day. Surprised at how repetitive and monotonous it is, she tries out some of the things that he does, finding herself enjoying the process. However, Hyun-woo continues to be ill-treated by everyone in her family which rubs Hae-in the wrong way. She questions why he chooses to be embarrassed like this but it is clear that his love for her negates everything else that he is made to go through at the hands of others.
On the other hand, thanks to Eun-sung’s efforts, things start to go haywire within the Hong family while Eun-sung continues to hold on to hope that Hae-in will definitely leave Hyun-woo to be with her. In spite of the issues that their relationship is going through, Hyun-woo continues to protect Hae-in and warns Eun-sung to not hurt his wife in any way.
