In this romantic drama series, Hong Hae-in, the president of Queens Department Store, marries Baek Hyun-woo, a lawyer by profession and the legal director of Queens Group. However, their marriage turns into a nightmare when Hae-in’s unresolved trauma spills over into Hyun-woo’s life as well and the two’s rocky and traumatising relationship ends in him looking into divorce. However, Yoon Eun-seon’s entry into Hae-in’s life rekindles his relationship with his wife and the two try to get over their differences to lead a happy married life.

Actor Kim Soo-hyun was last seen in 2021’s One Ordinary Day as Kim Hyun-soo with Cha Seung-won, while Kim Ji-won was last seen in 2022’s My Liberation Notes as Yeom Mi-jung which stole everyone’s hearts as a healing K-drama with a sweet message. Park Sung-hoon, known for his fiery roles, was last seen in The Bequeathed, a thrilling drama that left everyone uncomfortable. Lastly, actor Kwak Dong-yeon was last seen in 2022’s Gaus Electronics as Lee Sang-shik, where his role as a meagre office worker makes him stand out in this workplace comedy.

Queen of Tears Episode 10 Recap

Starting from the last episode, we come to find out why Eun-sung has come to the village – he wants Hae-in to come back to Seoul and live with him so that he can be her guardian during her treatment. He threatens to expose her disease to her family and asks her to make up her mind within 2 days. Meanwhile, Hyun-woo gets the broker arrested after a thrilling fight with three thugs and gets him arrested.

Later, Hyun-woo gets reassigned due to malpractice but Eun-sung isn’t able to deal the blow that he thought he would after the former tells him that he got the broker arrested. Hyun-woo, Beom-ja and others then start trying to find the Chairman who disappeared from the hospital in the last episode.

While Hae-in’s parents go through the motions of their new life, Hae-in decides to go along with Eun-sung’s demands and goes to Seoul, with Hyun-woo rushing after her. The latter feels like Hae-in is abandoning him and implores her to not go through with the press conference. But she draws a line and tells him that she must do what needs to be done.

As a tearful Hyun-woo is ready to give up, Hae-in tells the barrage of reporters about Eun-sung’s demands and threats, along with her diagnosis and her decision to not return as the CEO of Queens Department Stores. The move leaves Eun-sung speechless while Hae-in and Hyun-woo share a silent but tender moment across the room.

The epilogue of this episode is especially cute and showcases some great chemistry between Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won as Hae-in gets jealous of Hyun-woo’s cuteness after he gets drunk! However, it’s the scene after that truly drives the acting, the chemistry and the softness of the scene home. Everything about that epilogue is perfect and encompasses the relationship between these two characters extremely well!

It’s going to be an emotional ride for the viewers in the next episode, as Hae-in and Hyun-woo finally get closer to each other and Hae-in lets Hyun-woo’s affections reach her heart. Realising that she doesn’t have much time left, she doesn’t push Hyun-woo away anymore and finds happiness in the little things with him. Meanwhile, Hyun-woo decides to find the Chairman’s secret fund before Eun-sung after he realises that Eun-sung will use it against them.

In the meantime, Eun-sung refuses to give up on Hae-in and promises to give Hyun-woo anything in exchange for her. However, as a dutiful and loving husband, Hyun-woo refuses to give his wife up for anything. Frustrated, Eun-sung asks his men to get rid of Hyun-woo, and as two cars follow him, they are probably unaware that Hae-in is in the car with Hyun-woo as well.

The last clip shows the Hong family mourning someone’s loss in the hospital, but we are unsure who it might be as Hae-in’s voice echoes saying that she is not ready to leave yet because she hasn’t professed her love for Hyun-woo still.
